Job Summary

Gulliver Preparatory School is seeking to hire a Supervisor of After School & Summer Programs. This is a full-time position and is responsible for a broad range of duties such as; maintaining communications between the Director of After School & Summer Programs, PK-8 and other divisions; keeping communications with faculty timely and complete; and supporting the smooth operation of the After School Enrichment & Summer Programs. In addition, the qualified candidate will oversee and promote all rules and regulations established for Gulliver’s After School & Summer Programs. In the absence of the Director, the Supervisor will take over daily responsibilities to ensure there is adequate coverage by after school counselors in each area/department and regular checkups with program.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for staffing, planning, and orchestrating teacher work day care.
  • Supervise and interact with student activities and instruct/mentor counselors.
  • Monitor appropriate student behavior and document/report concerns when necessary.
  • Communicate on a daily basis with Director and school nurse.
  • Serve as a liaison between the department and teachers, staff, and parents when
  • needed.
  • Prepare correspondence from Director to faculty, staff and parents.
  • Maintain Director’s calendar, make appointments, and gather information/files for
  • meetings.
  • Order all supplies for Aftercare, Enrichment and Summer Programs.
  • View and accept completed registration forms.
  • Accept payments and processes refunds.
  • Maintain, print and distribute daily rosters.
  • Compile data for hourly, monthly and annual billing for After Care and prepare all check
  • requests for Enrichment Program vendors.
  • Keep track of all Purchase Orders, receipts and reimbursements for the department.
  • Compile and track data in analytical reports for the Director.
  • Maintain sign in/out programs.
  • Manage registration logistics and help parents through the registration process.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field. 
  • At least two years of school office, aftercare, and/or summer camp experience.

  • Collaboration and teamwork abilities – effectively working with a diverse team of staff. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

 

Pre-Employment Requirements

Criminal Background Check, Level II Fingerprint Screening and Drug Screen.
