Job Summary

Gulliver Preparatory School is seeking to hire a highly organized and personable Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic Primary & Lower School team for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. This role serves as the first point of contact for our school community, requiring strong communication and organizational skills. Candidates should be problem-solvers committed to creating a positive and efficient environment.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Front Office & Communication:

  • Offer welcoming support to students, parents, staff, and visitors, creating a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Manage school communications, including answering phones, responding to emails, and distributing information effectively.
  • Serve as a liaison between the school and families, addressing inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.

Student Records & Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, ensuring meticulous attention to data entry and document management.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Administrative & Operational Support:

  • Assist with daily school operations, including ordering and managing supplies and handling administrative tasks with precision.
  • Assist with oversight of division budgets.
  • Coordinate meetings and appointments promptly.
  • Support the administrative team with various projects and initiatives.
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.

Creative & Technical Tasks:

  • Create visually engaging materials, such as newsletters and flyers.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred.  
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience, preferably in an educational environment.  
  • Experience with student information systems and data management. 
  • Conversational Spanish

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Experience in using design software such as Canva or similar platforms. 

 

Pre-Employment Requirements

Criminal Background Check, Level II Fingerprint Screening and Drug Screen.
