Job Summary

Gulliver Preparatory School is seeking per diem Bus Drivers to join our team of professionals.  This is a part-time, on call position serving the Pinecrest area. The bus driver is responsible for safely operating the school bus according to a set schedule. The driver must be attentive to traffic and weather conditions, while staying on schedule and ensuring the safety of the passengers. In addition, the driver is responsible for ensuring that their vehicle is in good operating condition at all times maintaining a safe environment within the bus by enforcing rules of conduct and responding to emergencies. 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Minimum Class B License and School Bus and Passenger Endorsement
  • Miami Dade County PTRD Hack License with School Bus Endorsement

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of traffic and highway safety rules, regulations and the precautions necessary to avoid accidents. 
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions to relate to students, parents and school system personnel.   

 

Pre-Employment Requirements

Criminal Background Check, Level II Fingerprint Screening(s), and Drug screen.
