Position Overview

Gulliver Prep is seeking dedicated and adaptable On-Call Daily Substitutes to provide instruction and support to students across all grade levels, from PK-12. Our daily substitutes play a vital role in ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive and productive educational environment. Candidates must understand child/adolescent development, have experience working with students, and are committed to growing as an educator. Candidates should be collaborative team players and possess a positive flexible attitude.

JobResponsibilities

The Faculty Assistant key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction according to the provided lesson plans and established curriculum.
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful, and orderly learning environment.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation and learning.
  • Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and parents (as needed).
  • Possess a high-level of resourcefulness

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in the subject area or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Strong instructional, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to promote a positive and collaborative professional culture.
  • Passion for education, student development, and professional learning.
  • Qualified candidates for primary and lower school (PK-4) must have prior experience working with elementary-aged children.
  • Commitment to Gulliver Prep’s mission, values, and continuous improvement.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Criminal Background Check, Level II Fingerprint Screening(s), and Drug screen.
