Position Overview

The Office of Curriculum, Assessment, & Support Services at Gulliver Preparatory School is seeking to hire an Accommodations & Progress Monitoring Coordinator, PK-8 for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the accommodations process and is for coordinating and monitoring the multi-tiered systems supports in place at the Marian C. Krutulis PK-8 Campus and the assessment calendar. In addition, this person will assist with parent meetings, appointments with community professionals, and maintain all aspects of the confidential filing system for the entire office.

Job Responsibilities

The Accommodations & Progress Monitoring Coordinator, PK-8 key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Develop, review, and revise accommodation plans for students in grades PK-8 and maintain the related confidential files associated with this process current and updated.
  • Communicate with parents about accommodations plans and maintain the documents up to date both hard copy and electronic as appropriate.
  • Follow the Gulliver protocols strictly when referring families to outside professionals.
  • Hold regular weekly meetings with divisions to monitor student progress.
  • Support the transition of students from grade level to grade level by holding BOY meetings with teachers, administrators, and counselors across divisions. Be prepared to share relevant information in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support parent meetings related to progress monitoring when necessary.
  • Help monitor student progress through testing and data reviews.
  • Meet monthly with RR team to monitor student progress in Tier 2 program.
  • Help to coordinate all components of the progress monitoring process in grades PK-8 from initial testing to placement in support services.
  • Support the curriculum by coordinating BOY, MOY, and EOY testing windows and providing assessment data reports and summaries as requested by the Director of Curriculum, Assessment, & Support Services (this includes the training of the assessment team, create schedule, preparation of materials, data collection and recording, and electronic filing of documents).
  • Supports progress monitoring meetings in partnership with division heads and administrators and prepares data for weekly internal meetings.
  • Performing all individual evaluations for students and supporting any beginning of the year and end-of- the- year assessments as requested by the Director of Curriculum, Assessment & Support Services.
  • Maintain all student confidential files and all confidential Support Services electronic folders.
  • Prepare documents to support PLEASE meetings and monitor the PLEASE process follow up for each student.
  • Assess current students referred for additional testing and report results to the DCASS.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality, based on a need-to-know basis, of all information pertaining to testing and student.
  • Assists in the creation of the annual testing calendar for PK-12 and coordinates the implementation of the PK-8 assessment calendar.
  • Leads the training of school staff in the administration of all standardized assessments in partnership with other Testing Coordinators. Schedules and organizes all training sessions and ensures regular training reviews before each testing window.
  • Assists with all aspects of standardized testing for all students and special populations including extended time, technology accommodations, special materials, etc. in partnership with other Testing Coordinators across all divisions.
  • Participates in all Admissions days supporting testing.
  • Other duties assigned by the Director of Curriculum, Assessment, & Support Services.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Master’s degree in special education or related field is a must.
  • Must possess substantive organizational skills and the ability to oversee/supervise the coordination and effective implementation of standardized assessments and diagnostic measures.
  • Well-versed and proficient in the interpretation of diagnostic testing.
  • Proficient in the selection, administration and interpretation of several diagnostic measures.
  • Ability to organize, interpret and present statistical data in a manner appropriate to users’ skill set and needs.
  • Training in data-driven Instruction.
  • Ability to work in a team with exceptional collegiality.
  • Experience training personnel on assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written; in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to create informative visualizations of data to support school staff with evaluation and planning efforts.
  • Knowledge of all internal and external regulations governing test administration and data reporting policies and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of basic software applications (Excel, Word, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and email) and AI; ability to learn, test, and possibly present new platforms is helpful.
