Job Summary

The Upper School at Gulliver Prep is seeking passionate and dedicated educators for a variety of positions within the World Languages department to join our growing team.  Languages taught in the Upper School at Gulliver Preparatory include Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, Mandarin, and Japanese. All courses are offered at multiple levels, with some courses separated by native- and non-native proficiency levels. In addition, many languages are offered at both the AP and IB levels.

Applicants must demonstrate evidence of effective writing and speaking instruction in the target language. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.  Master’s degree preferred

  • At least two years of teaching experience; at the upper school level is preferred. 

  • Must be bilingual in the language being taught in reading, writing and speaking. 

Desired Qualifications

  • Effective classroom management skills. 

  • Experience employing a range of pedagogical approaches (e.g., direct instruction, project-based learning, cooperative group work).

  • Strong presentation abilities and effective written communication.

  • Proficient with technology, including Google and interactive whiteboards.

  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
