Job Summary
The Upper School at Gulliver Prep is seeking passionate and dedicated educators for a variety of positions within the Digital Mass Media department to join our growing team. This position may be responsible for such courses including multimedia production, graphic design, film production, journalism, podcasting, and television broadcasting.
Qualified applicants must be able to develop and execute effective lesson plans that cover the curriculum, engage students’ interests, and promote higher-order thinking. Additionally, these roles will require collaboration with other instructors of other disciplines. Applicants must be adept at keeping accurate records of student progress and communicating with students, parents, and counselors to discuss concerns or issues. Applicants must demonstrate evidence of effective writing instruction.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field. Master’s degree preferred
At least two years of teaching experience; at the upper school level is preferred.
Desired Qualifications
Effective classroom management skills.
Experience employing a range of pedagogical approaches (e.g., direct instruction, project-based learning, cooperative group work).
Innovative thinking, strong leadership skills and the ability to demonstrate these skills to students.
Strong presentation abilities and effective written communication.
Proficient with technology, including Google and interactive whiteboards.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
Pre-Employment Requirements
