Job Summary
The Primary School at Gulliver Prep is seeking passionate and dedicated educators, including specialty areas such as Music, Movement and Storytelling. The successful candidate will incorporate vocal and instrumental experiences combined with creative movement and various storytelling techniques to engage students’ imaginations, talents and skills. In addition, candidates must be able to work collaboratively with classroom teachers and other members of the fine arts department. We seek candidates who will be a positive presence in the division and find imaginative ways to promote student learning through events and concerts throughout the school year.
The ability to commit to an integrated curriculum, strong communication and organizational abilities, and experience incorporating technology in support of student learning is essential. Commitment to continued professional development and to equity and inclusion is also very important.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
At least two years of teaching experience at the elementary school level.
Desired Qualifications
Effective classroom management skills.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Criminal Background Check, Level II Fingerprint Screening(s) and Drug Screen.
