Job Summary

Gulliver Prep is seeking dedicated and adaptable On-Call Substitutes to provide instruction and support to students across all grade levels, from PK-12. Our daily Substitutes play a vital role in ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive and productive educational environment. Candidates must understand child/adolescent development, have experience working with students, and are committed to growing as an educator. Candidates should be collaborative team players and possess a positive flexible attitude. 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction according to the provided lesson plans and established curriculum.
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful, and orderly learning environment.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation and learning.
  • Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and parents (as needed).
  • Possess a high-level of resourcefulness

Minimum Requirements

  • An Associate's degree (AA) from an accredited institution is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively and adapt to various educational settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with school staff.
  • Qualified candidates for primary and lower school (PK-4th grade) must have prior experience working with elementary-aged children.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Criminal Background Check, Level II Fingerprint Screening(s), and Drug screen.
