Job Summary
The Lower School at Gulliver Prep is seeking passionate and dedicated educators for a variety of positions, including Physical Education Faculty. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of P.E. standards, promotes healthy, life-long activity in daily instruction, has a high interest in developing teamwork, and can engage students in creative ways as they acquire new skills. Additionally, this position requires the faculty to coach one sport during the school year (assistant or head coach) but are encouraged to coach multiple sports (assistant or head coach).
Candidates should possess a solid understanding of the standards and be able to develop creative, engaging lessons to support skill development. Knowledge of the social-emotional development of children, and working in collaboration within the department and with colleagues across the school is expected, as is a demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion and professional development.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education or related field. Master’s degree preferred. .
At least two years of teaching experience at the primary-aged and/or elementary level
Desired Qualifications
Effective classroom management skills.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Criminal Background Check, Level II Fingerprint Screening(s) and Drug Screen.
