Job Summary

The Lower School at Gulliver Prep is seeking passionate and dedicated educators for a variety of positions, including Music Faculty. The ideal candidate is an engaging and passionate music educator who thrives on the creative energy of children. In addition to playing an instrument and reading music, they have knowledge of Orff and Kodaly methods and can employ them in their instruction. In addition, candidates must be able to work collaboratively with classroom teachers and other members of the fine arts department. We seek candidates who will be a positive presence in the division and find imaginative ways to promote student learning through events and concerts throughout the school year.

Candidates will be expected to collaborate with others in the department as well as with colleagues across the division. The ability to commit to an integrated curriculum, possess strong communication and organizational abilities, and experience incorporating technology in support of student learning is essential. Experience with Responsive Classroom is preferred, and a commitment to continued professional development and to equity and inclusion is essential. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education or related field.  Master’s degree preferred.  

  • At least two years of teaching experience at the primary-aged and/or elementary level

Desired Qualifications

  • Effective classroom management skills. 

  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
