Job Summary

Gulliver Prep’s Middle School EDGE Program is seeking to hire a Science Faculty for the upcoming 2024-25 school year.  Middle School EDGE classes are for students who thrive in a smaller class setting with a strong focus on executive functioning and study skills, and are able to meet the demanding requirements of the Gulliver College Prep curriculum.

The course assignment will include 5th grade General Science and 6th Grade Earth and Space Science.  Experience with Next Generation Science Standards is a plus, as is experience with the online Amplify curriculum. Candidates must be adept at incorporating technology in the classroom and should be knowledgeable about working with students with varying exceptionalities. Candidates should embrace 21st century teaching methods, and be prepared to implement a high level of differentiated instruction as well as consistent structure in the classroom.  Candidates should also be excited to serve as a student advisor, meeting weekly with a small group of students to teach lessons in social-emotional learning.  

Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related field; Master’s Degree preferred. 

    Minimum of three years (3) teaching experience, preferably with middle school aged students.

Criminal Background Check, Level II Fingerprint Screening(s), and Drug screen.
